DISH Network has become the first nationwide pay-TV operator to add the Univision-ABJ joint venture, Fusion Network, to its line-up.
The channel launched October 2013 with a mix of original reporting, lifestyle and comedic content aimed at young, multicultural viewers.
"Through its television and digital properties, Fusion speaks to a diverse new generation across all DISH customers," said Alfredo Rodriguez, vice president of marketing at the satellite giant. "DISH's overall line-up is greatly enhanced by Fusion, helping us to better connect with an important viewing demographic that is an increasingly influential member of today's marketplace."
Fusion is the latest programming to debut from the March distribution agreement with The Walt Disney Co, which has expanded both live and on demand content for DISH customers.
Subscribers to America's Top 250 packages and higher will see Fusion in their line-up as well as subscribers in most DishLATINO packages. Fusion On Demand will also be available in the coming week.
"Fusion is committed to delivering content that champions a diverse, smart and inclusive America through programming that is infused with humour, diverse voices and many viewpoints," said Fusion CEO Isaac Lee. "We are thrilled to be partnering with DISH to bring our unique content offering to a larger audience."
