Tele 5 acquires movie package

German commercial broadcaster Tele 5 has secured an extensive movie package from Wiesbaden-based licensing company KSM.
The agreement, the financial details of which have not been disclosed, contains 17 films which the channel will show as German free-to-air TV premieres from 2014.
The deal, which is the first of its kind between both sides, covers the genres of action, thriller, horror, fantasy and family entertainment.
The package includes titles including the current Dolph Lundgren action film Blood of Redemption, the thriller Officer Down with Stephen Dorff, Jet Li's Flying Swords of Dragon Gate and the Christmas movie Joulutarina.
