Reggefiber reaches two million Dutch FttH homes
Within ten years Dutch glass fibre operator Reggefiber has connected two million homes to its FttH network.
The company, which is now fully owned by KPN, has started connecting Dutch homes in 2005. The first million homes were connected in 2012.
Now one quarter of all homes in the country are connected to the network. However, just 623.000 homes are actually using services over the network. The provinces of Overijssel, Gelderland eand Noord-Brabant have the highest fibre penetration.
Customers on the Refggefiber network are free to choose their provider, which includes KPN with its three brands KPN, Telfort and Xs4all, Vodafone, Fiber, Fieber, Stipte, Solon, Pinq, Tweak as well as regional providers such as Onsbrabant Net.
