Warner Bros’ streaming service DramaFever reaches Oz, NZ Dramafever_logo

Warner Bros’ Asian video streaming service DramaFever is now available in Australia and New Zealand, and brings with it the regional premiere of epic Chinese TV drama Ice Fantasy.

Dramafever logoThe move sees the DramaFever subscription video-on-demand (SVOD) service, which Warner Bros Digital Networks acquired from Japan’s Softbank in February 2016, become available in a total of 25 markets.

“DramaFever has established itself as the go-to destination for fans of K-dramas and Asian content in particular, along with additional international programming, and we are excited to be launching in the region with such a strong line-up,” said Suk Park, co-founder and president, DramaFever.

“Like our fans in the US and Latin America, viewers in Australia and New Zealand won’t be able to get enough of these series once they start, and we are pleased to be in a position to meet this growing demand.”

The service will simulcast the romance drama series Ice Fantasy with English subtitles in Australia, New Zealand and the US, and with Spanish and Portuguese subtitles in Latin America. New episodes will be delivered within 24 hours of their original broadcast on Hunan TV in China every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday.

Directed by Ju Jue Liang, Ice Fantasy is a 62-episode TV adaptation of the best-selling novel City of Fantasy by Guo Jing Ming. It stars Feng Shao Feng (Prince of Lan Ling) and Victoria Song from K-pop group f(x) and features set designs from Academy Award-winning art director Dan Hennah.

Ice Fantasy joins 120 titles and 2000 TV episodes from DramaFever’s library, which are now available in Australia and New Zealand. Other new shows include the hit dramas from Korea, Cheese in the Trap and Oh My Ghostess.
