SPI/Filmbox inks multi-year distribution deal with VIVACOM

Leading content provider SPI International has kept its momentum of deal-making with a new contract with Bulgaria’s VIVACOM, placing six of its Filmbox channels on the latter’s DTH and IPTV platforms.
SPI vivacomThe channel line-up will include FilmBox Plus, FilmBox Extra HD, DocuBox HD, FightBox HD, Fast&FunBox HD and Eroxxx HD. FilmBox Plus and FilmBox Extra HD present a variety of films and TV series from leading producers while DocuBox HD offers a selection of documentary films devoted to wild life, nature and human civilisation. FightBox HD and Fast&FunBox HD are sports channels offering martial arts and adrenaline sports.
“As we are committed to growing our presence in Bulgaria we are glad that our channels will reach new viewers through VIVACOM’s DTH and IPTV services,” said Berk Uziyel, executive director for Filmbox International Ltd. “In addition to our linear channels, VIVACOM’s customers will be able to enjoy our content on demand.”
SPI International has been operating channels in Bulgaria since 2011. In addition to the six channels picked up by VIVACOM, SPI also offers FilmBox (a basic movie channel), FilmBox Art House, FashionBox HD, 360TuneBox and Erox HD.
“We are happy to announce our deal with SPI as it brings more valuable content to our subscribers. This is the first step in our strategy for increasing the volume of content that we offer to our subscribers,” added Hristina Borisova, manager multimedia and value added services for VIVACOM.
