ESPN has best digital September ever

Sports giant ESPN reached a digital property-best 104.6 million unique visitors for the month of September, up 11% over the same month a year ago.
espn2The results were driven by ESPN Fantasy Football and coverage of the NFL, College Football, MLB pennant races and US Open tennis.
ESPN had 31.4 million more unique visitors than No 2 property CBS Sports, the largest margin in sports category history, according to the September comScore Multi-Platform report.
Fans also spent 10.3 billion minutes using ESPN digital properties, tops in the sports category and nearly double the No 2 property (Yahoo Sports-NBC Sports Network).
ESPN accounted for 33.5% of all sports category usage on digital platforms, more than the No 2 and 3 properties combined (Yahoo! Sports-NBC Sports Network had 16.8%, NFL Internet Group 8.9%).
In all, September 2016 marked ESPN’s largest share of sports category usage since March 2015.
